November 15, 2024 By

Authors: Rosa Hemant Tantia and Dr. Shirish Patil

This article examines the role of community medicine in addressing public health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic in India. It focuses on how community health workers (such as ASHAs and ANMs) and government health programs help prevent disease and promote health at the local level. The study looks at the impact of social and economic inequalities during pandemics and how public trust and behavior affect health interventions. The findings emphasize the need to strengthen community health systems and address social factors to better prepare for future health emergencies.
