Community Health Workers (CHWs) are trusted members of their communities who help people stay healthy. While they have been effective in managing conditions like diabetes and HIV, they have not been used much in dementia care. With the right training, CHWs can support people with dementia and their families especially in communities at higher risk by helping with early detection, education, and day-to-day care. This summary highlights how CHWs can play a big role in improving brain health and how public health leaders can support their involvement.
