This study reviewed how community health workers support oral health in low- and middle-income countries. It found that they help with education, home visits, screening for conditions like oral cancer, basic care, and referrals, sometimes using mobile tools. These efforts can improve access to care, but challenges like limited resources, weak referral systems, and lack of training and career support remain. The study highlights the need to better support community health workers to strengthen oral health services.
