Community Health Worker: High Risk Stabilization Study

May 27, 2024 By

Authors: Benjamin Infosino, Richard Jermyn, Jaimy Jabon

This study focuses on hypertension among Americans and how Community Health Workers (CHWs) conduct free blood pressure screenings at public events.  While these screenings provide valuable initial data, the challenge lies in obtaining consistent follow-up data over time, due to inconsistent attendee presence. Despite this, the screenings identify individuals at risk, allowing for targeted interventions. Comparing blood pressure measurements at different intervals can gauge improvements in hypertension management.
