The US is facing a mental health crisis, especially among Latine communities who struggle with access to care. This review looked at 27 studies on community health workers (CHWs) providing mental health support to Latines, mostly immigrants and Spanish speakers. The programs focused on issues like depression, stress, and parenting, using approaches such as education, coping skills, and problem-solving. Most studies showed CHWs helped improve mental health, but many had weaknesses in study quality. Overall, CHWs show strong promise in supporting Latine mental health, but more rigorous research is needed.
