This study looked at how community health volunteers in western Kenya help manage malaria. It found that they reach more people than health facilities in many areas and play a big role in testing and treating malaria cases. Their work follows national guidelines and helps improve access to care, especially in places with limited health services. The study shows that supporting and expanding their role could strengthen malaria control efforts.
