Chronic viral hepatitis is a major health issue, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This study reviewed research and gathered community ideas to understand how community engagement can improve hepatitis care. The review found that community health workers, peer support, education programs, and patient advocacy helped increase vaccination, testing, and treatment rates, mostly in high-income countries. In LMICs, community-led groups played a key role in improving access to care. The findings highlight that involving communities in hepatitis care can strengthen efforts to eliminate the disease.
