This study explores the T1D-CATCH intervention, aiming to enhance diabetes technology adoption among minoritized young adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Through post-intervention interviews with 11 participants (mean age 25 yrs, 73% female, including Hispanic and non-Hispanic Black individuals), findings indicate high satisfaction and increased engagement with diabetes management. Participants valued the flexibility and trust engendered by community health workers (CHWs), viewing them as valuable sources of information and support for social needs. Enhanced communication and support for navigating healthcare contributed to improved self-management and increased willingness to adopt diabetes technology. Initial results suggest that T1D-CATCH is feasible and may effectively support diabetes self-care in minoritized populations.
