Lifestyle modifications such as a healthy diet, regular physical activity and maintaining a health weight are important practices for hypertensive individuals. In this cluster randomized trail, conducted between 2013 to 2016, community health workers (CHWs) delivered a multicomponent intervention targeting hypertensive patients at the health system, provider and family level. It also included sending out tailored text messages for 18 months.
