This study looked at how community health workers (CHWs) in Northwest Cameroon help detect and respond to yellow fever, especially in conflict-affected areas. CHWs were trusted and played a key role in surveillance but faced challenges like limited training, poor feedback, and cultural barriers. The study highlights the need to better support CHWs, include gender-sensitive approaches, and work with local beliefs to strengthen disease surveillance.
