Awareness and Knowledge About Autism Among ASHA Workers: A Cross-sectional Study

by

Authors: Syeda Tamanna Yasmin, Umesh Thonse, Amrtavarshini R, Suvina Soans, Samir Kumar Praharaj

This study looked at how much ASHA workers in India know about autism. Results showed many had limited awareness of its symptoms, course, and care. Workers who had attended lectures on developmental disorders knew more. The findings highlight the need for targeted training to help ASHA workers identify and refer children with autism earlier for support.
