Awareness and Implementation Challenges of Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment among Public Health Providers in Kerala, India

by

Authors: Neethu, M. S.; Balasankar, J. M.; Hense, Sibasis; Ramachandran, Rakesh

This study looked at how well community health workers in India understand and deliver preventive treatment for tuberculosis. It found that their knowledge varies, and they face challenges like limited training, heavy workloads, lack of supplies, and patients being reluctant to take treatment. These issues make it harder to prevent TB. The study shows that better training, support, and community awareness are needed to improve TB prevention efforts.
