During the COVID-19 pandemic, Spanish-speaking communities in the U.S. faced a lack of timely and culturally appropriate information. To bridge this gap, Brigada Digital de Salud utilized social media to share tailored COVID-19 content. Trained community health workers posted educational content on vaccination, infection risks, and scientific concepts, aiming to engage, inform, and debunk misinformation. Content formats included narrated slide carousels and animated images with text to video interviews and observational tutorials. reaching over 386,000 people and generating high engagement. This community-based approach effectively countered misinformation and addressed public health concerns.
