This study evaluated the DEM-SKY dementia screening program in rural Kenya, which was supported by community health workers. The program reached 3,546 older adults over six months and was well received. Participants who tested positive for dementia were much more likely to seek help from a doctor. Feedback showed that while the program was appreciated, there is room for improvement, especially in the next steps of diagnosis. The program was effective with limited resources, but more research is needed to understand its long-term impact.
