This study evaluated the impact of using THINKMD’s digital decision support tool to improve community health workers’ (CHWs) adherence to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) guidelines in Nigeria. After implementing the tool, CHWs showed a significant increase in capturing key clinical data, rising from 30.7% to 72.4%. Even after the implementation phase, adherence remained higher at 57.4%. CHWs found the tool easy to use and effective in identifying sick children. The findings suggest that digital tools can improve CHW performance and care quality compared to paper-based methods.
