Homeless adults are at increased risk of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI), which can lead to active tuberculosis (TB) disease. This study focuses on a six-month, nurse-led, and community health worker (CHW)-partnered treatment for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) among homeless adults. Through focus group discussions, barriers like lack of readiness and substance use, and facilitators like health education and familiarity with the homeless population were identified. The findings highlight the potential of the nurse-led, CHW-involved approach not only to improve LTBI medication adherence but also to address substance use, enhance mental health, and stabilize housing in this high-risk population.
