This study tested whether community health workers could help manage heart disease risk in villages affected by conflict in Myanmar. They screened people, provided follow-up care at home, and helped patients start and stick to treatment. The program reached many people, improved access to medicines, and led to better control of blood pressure. While some challenges like training gaps and treatment errors were found, the model was generally accepted and shows promise for improving care in difficult settings.
