This review examined 14 studies on how Community Health Workers (CHWs) help prevent and control mosquito-borne diseases. It found that CHWs support communities through health education, early detection of illness, encouraging people to complete treatment, community mobilisation, and mosquito control activities. However, their work is often limited by inadequate training, lack of resources, and unclear responsibilities. The review concludes that CHWs could make a greater contribution to preventing these diseases if they received better training, adequate resources, and stronger support from health systems. It also highlights the need for more research to understand how well these programmes work and how they can be sustained.
