This study explored how communication between community health workers (ASHAs) and pregnant women influences the use of maternal health services in rural India. Women reported that ASHAs regularly provided helpful information on pregnancy care, nutrition, mental health, government health programs, and possible pregnancy complications, which helped build trust and support. While these interactions were viewed positively and encouraged engagement with healthcare services, the study found that additional training is needed to help ASHAs provide more detailed and comprehensive information on complex maternal health issues.
