A Case Study of a Community Health Worker Program Located in Low-Income Housing in Richmond, Virginia

This case study assessed the community impact of a CHW program designed for low-income housing residents in Richmond, VA, USA. Through the analysis of electronic data and qualitative interviews, the paper mapped out the external resources that CHWs connect community members with to address unmet needs. Considering the value of these supports, the case study emphasized the need for CHWs to improve equity in access to healthcare for low-income communities.
