About the Event
The World Health Organization recommends remunerating practicing community health workers (CHWs) with a financial package commensurate with the job demands, complexity, number of hours, training, and roles undertaken. Yet only 14% of CHWs on the African continent are salaried. The vast majority are volunteers with some or no compensation.
The Community Health Impact Coalition and the Financing Alliance for Health invite you to a virtual event that will highlight important new research on CHW remuneration, specifically what approaches to remuneration best align with global guidelines and how to implement them.
