As part of the ‘Symposium on CHWs and Their Contribution Towards the Sustainable Development Goals’ Makerere University (Uganda), CHW Central, Nottingham Trent University (UK) and World Vision are supporting a series of interviews called CHW Visions.
In collaboration with the symposium and interview series, we will be launching an essay prize competition. Submissions are accepted from all over the world, all participants academic and otherwise. The essay should give a compelling and inspiring vision of tomorrow’s CHWs workforce as equipped to address the Sustainable Development Goals. The winning submission will be awarded at the symposium. The winning submission will be awarded a cash prize of £100, donated by Nottingham Trent University. Runners-up will be published on the CHW Central blog site.
Essay requirements:
- Maximum of 500 words
- Strongly reflects support to one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals (you decide which!)
- Compelling, feasible and evidence informed
- Address critical pain points in CHW programs
