This study examines the challenges facing community-integrated health posts (Posyandu) in Indonesia, focusing on the roles of village and township governance and community health center management.Community health workers (CHWs) currently function as the main service delivery actors for Poysandu. Analysis of 638 Posyandus reveals common issues like funding shortages and inadequate facilities, particularly in rural areas. Weak governance by village heads and limited support from community health centers contribute to Posyandu’s underperformance. Collaborative efforts are needed to improve primary healthcare services at the grassroots level.
